With the iceberg of culture, we will compare aspects of Spain with Colombia.

LANGUAGE: 

- The official language of Spain is Spanish but in addition there are languages ​​that can be considered as official in their regions. Catalan, Galician, Basque, Occitan, Asturian, Aragonese, and Fala are the other languages ​​spoken.
- The political constitution of Colombia establishes that the official language of Colombia is Spanish, like all the dialects and languages ​​of ethnic groups. English is spoken in the archipelago of San Andres and Providencia.
Although the population handles the Spanish language between the regions, the intonation and lexical differences vary.

FOOD:
-The cuisine of Spain is characterized by the great variety of dishes and by fusion of flavors from the different regions and cultures of Spain. The most recognized are potatoes and paella. but there are dishes like bacalao al pil pil, caldereta de langosta, cocido madrileño, cordero asado, cocino asado, fabada astuariana, frituras de pescado, and others.
-On the other hand, Colombian cuisine is the result of the fusion of food from Indo-American, European and African cultures.Dishes such as ajiaco, arepa, changua, caldo de pollo and bandeja paisa.
RELIGIOUS BELIEFS: 

-The Catholic religion is the predominant one in Spain with 68.4% of the population and is the only one expensed in the constitution of the country. The rest is divided into atheists, agnostics and other religions.
-Most of the Colombian population is Christian, the Catholic religion being the most predominant with 89% of the population, the rest are Protestants or other branches of Christianity such as the Evangelical.

IMPORTANCE OF TIME: 


-When it comes to informal meetings, Spaniards are very imputual, sometimes they are not even able to agree due to the variety of culture within Spain. saying "see you after eating" is a problem, in Spain there are places that eat much sooner than another, so it is difficult to understand in this way.
-In Colombian culture, although there are extensive work schedules, time is a flexible topic for the population. When it comes to meetings, love dates or parties, people usually arrive 15 minutes to two hours later, depending on the occasion.
